I think it's a great action shot, but one thing you might try for future shots of this nature is narrowing the depth of field to try and separate the horse and rider from the background. You do this by putting it in "A" mode (aperture priority) and taking down the f-stop as low as it goes. you might have to get closer to to the horse though. and if it's this sunny, make sure the iso is 100. you might also have to pre-focus on something that is at the same distance as the horse
